Practice
Since joining the firm, William J. Scully has practiced in the area of civil litigation with a focus on medical malpractice defense, environmental litigation, and general litigation. He has been with Cooney, Scully and Dowling since 1987.
Professional Experience
Mr. Scully has represented hospitals, physicians, and other health care providers throughout the State of Connecticut at the trial level and also in proceedings before the Department of Public Health. In addition, he has represented a number of entities in environmental law claims. He has successfully defended numerous clients at trial and on appeal. Mr. Scully has lectured on various litigation topics to attorneys, insurance representatives and State of Connecticut employees.
Professional and Civic Activities
Mr. Scully is a member of the Connecticut and Hartford County Bar Associations, the Connecticut Society for Healthcare Risk Management and has been a member of the Risk and Insurance Management Society.
